LECTURE

Introduction to Photoshop 2

Lasso Tool

The Lasso Tool allows you to draw and pinpoint specific areas of a document.

- cutting/pasting images

- to manually select areas

Magnetic Lasso Tool 

- follows close to the border

Pen Tool

- fewer points, smoother a path will be

- a versatile tool in Photoshop that can be used to create extremely precise shapes and paths using manually placed anchor points.

Layering

- use layers without affecting another one to make adjustments

TUTORIAL

Mr Fauzi taught us how to use Photoshop to make digital collages. Manipulating images using layering, the lasso tool and the pen tool. We were only allowed to use the given images to make three pre-compositions.

PRACTICAL

For Practical, Mr Fauzi gave us time to start on the Pre-Compositions. Initially, I did not have an idea on where to start because of how different the images are from each other. However, after playing around with the arrangements and seeing which elements fit together to create a visual story, I started to gain my footing and made three Pre-Compositions that I genuinely liked.
