TUTORIAL
During tutorial, we were given a video to watch recorded by Mr Martin.
Digital Imaging Exercise 01: The Breakdown
Part 1 (Shazam)
In the video, Mr Martin explains about the Quick Selection Tool, Layer Mask, Filters and Color Correction. Basically, all the things needed to complete our exercise 1. The video was very helpful and I learned a lot about putting images together so that they look organic and real using Adobe Photoshop.
Other than that, we were also taught and advice on how to take proper photography by considering lighting, the camera and the angle.
PRACTICAL
We work on our Exercise 1 of Project 2A during the practical which is about photo manipulation.
PROJECT 2A: DIGITAL IMAGING
Exercise 1: Photo Manipulation
Part 1 (Shazam)
During practical, I made use of the things learned during tutorial for Project 2A Exercise 1. The tutorial from Mr Martin was really helpful and easy to understand. We were tasked to place Shazam into the Hearst Castle using Photoshop tools.

Exercise 1
Part 2 (My Reflection)
For the second part of the exercise, we have to replace Shazam in the photo and edit ourselves into the Hearst Castle.
I asked my father to take a 3/4 angle photograph of me against a white wall for easier editing process in Photoshop later on.
Fig 1.5: Masking Applied (22/9/2021)
Just like in Exercise 1 Part 1, I used the Quick Selection Tool to select myself from the image. I was able to separate my figure from the background thanks to having a plain white background.

After that, I added myself into the Hearst Castle and started my editing process which was similar to the Part 1 of this exercise. I added shadow and reflection to make the picture look more natural. Then, I even tried out using the blur tool to blur parts of my image that looked too sharp. Lastly, color correction required me to lower the brightness and luminance.
