For Project 2, I decided to animate each step and the visual to better show
the audience how the apple strudel is made. I used the motion graphics tools
that I had learn in class to aid me in this project. Through the audio and
animations, I wanted to create a comfortable and clear, instructional
experience for the viewer.

EaJ has this certain fondness and common use of yellow fonts so I thought it would be perfect for the kinetic typographic music video. I suggested it to the group and they liked the idea.

The font we had decided to use was Athelas Bold and Futura Light.
Idea Exploration
11/1/2022
We were tasked to do our own Lyric video either using the So What -
P!nk song or any song we wanted. We decided to do Pacman by EaJ. Since
he also told us to practice using AE to animate text, I attempted to do
some of my lines for the lyric video.

RATIONALE
I was genuinely proud of my group for completing this well. Everyone's
parts looked great and I was also proud to see how much improvement I did
for my own part.
I wanted to portray the feeling of emptiness and being left alone through
my kinetic typography and I think we managed to achieve it together as a
group.

The article educates me of the purpose of this pie chart which later helps me imagine how the information would be displayed in motion graphics.

RATIONALE
I followed Mr Martin's tutorial on making the pie chart closely since
that was the motion graphic chart I was assigned to. I made sure to add
the information at the side of what each colour in the pie chart
represented.

REFLECTIONS
Experience
Project 2 was a whole lot of using After Effects (AE) and animating. Classes were the most helpful, filled with tutorials on how to animate - characters and text as well as motion graphics for chart!
I had the most fun in Kinetic Typography because there were so many ways one could animate text especially for song lyrics which are quite expressive.
Observation
I observed that animation takes a lot time, effort and dedication since animation starts from the storyboard and ideation before actually starting to animate.
Other than that, I observed that I tend to limit myself and not explore new ways to animate a certain motion. Exploring could help me utilize AE better and find alternatives to express an idea visually.
Findings
I found that I enjoy spending time animating and looking at the details of a movement. It ignited my passion for animation again.
I should be more open to watching extra tutorial videos and use AE to its full potential.
